Rolls-Royce SUV Will Be Significantly Different than the BMW X7

Following last month’s announcement that Rolls-Royce is going to build a SUV model, the British auto maker’s CEO Mueller-Oetvoes spilled out more details on this SUV in a recent interview.

Major news is that the Rolls-Royce SUV will use an all-new design of aluminum spaceframe in the body construction, and this design is not to be shared with the rumored BMW X7. The Rolls-Royce SUV will use aluminum extensively for the body and exterior panels, which should save a lot of weight than using steels.

Let’s Talk About Engine Valve Technology

You probably do not know what does “engine valve technology” mean if you are not a car enthusiast. However, you may have already heard of terms like “VVT-i” (on Toyota cars), “VTEC” (for Honda), “VANOS” and “Valvetronic” (for BMW), “VarioCam” (Porsche). 2012_BMW_335i

We have already reported six months ago that BMW is going to fix this by introducing the 340i model. The 340i will utilize a new-design inline-6 turbocharged engine, code name “B58”, to replace the current N55 engine in the 335i.

Well, today we found out some more info on the BMW 340i:
