Yesterday our source gave us some real interesting info which should put Tesla in a serious disadvantage: Porsche is working on an electric sports car, targeting at the Tesla Model S. Below image is the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo concept (not the EV we are talking about).

Introducing The 911 GTS Club Coupe

It may not be a special year for Volkswagen or Porsche, but it does a special year for the Porsche Club of America, which is its 60th year since its establishment.

Of course Porsche won’t miss this opportunity to earn some extra money, therefore it is releasing a special edition of its 911 Carrera model, called the “911 GTS Club Coupe”.

Simply speaking, there is no major mechanical change in this special edition compared to the standard 911 GTS coupe, all changes are in exterior/interior styling and the wheels. The 911 GTS Club Coupe uses the same 3.8L flat-6 engine found in the 911 GTS, produces 430hp...

The GTS model is something special in the Porsche product line: it usually sits in the middle of a specific model trim range, usually with significantly upgraded power (but still not the most powerful trim), but has a relatively affordable MSRP.

Now Porsche has put this treatment on the 911 Targa 4, by introducing the 911 Targa 4 GTS. Compared to the 911 Targa 4, the major upgrade in the GTS model is its engine – instead of the 3.4L in the 911 Targa 4, the GTS is using a 3.8L flat-6 engine, outputting a much higher 424hp and 325lb-ft of torque.

This is something you won’t see very often: a totaled Porsche 918. One reason for that is because it is a limited edition super-car, which Porsche only builds 918 units.

On the early morning of Dec. 18, a Porsche 918 crashed into a tree in Shanghai, China. According to the car owner, he lent the 918 to a female friend, who mistakenly pressed the gas pedal while her intention was to step on the brake. This act sent the car, worth of RMB 13-million (around USD 2-million), into a tree on the side of the street, and damaged the front of the car, and the left front wheel even completely fell out.

The damage repair is estimated to be more than RMB 5-million (USD 800,000)...

2015 Porsche Panamera Pricing

Most of you may have heard about the Porsche Panamera. In fact, even you don’t have enough money to afford one,  you can easily rent one from Hertz in almost all major US airport rental locations, see our earlier article here.

The last time I was at the airport, I asked Hertz for the price of renting a Panamera and they said it runs about $200 PER DAY, withOUT negotiation. I think you can definitely bring the price down further more if you haggle with them.
