Lexus 2.0L turbo engine output confirmed

On last Monday, we are the first media to report the output of the Lexus’ new 2.0L turbo engine used in the NX model, to be around 240hp.

Today this is again confirmed to be true: another report from the Lexus Enthusiast website indicates that, the actual output for the Lexus NX200t will be 237hp.

Also the news reveals that the next Lexus model to receive this new engine will be the IS250 (we guess it will be called IS200t when that day comes). Since it is extremely easy to boost the output of a turbo engine, the version that used on the IS may reach the 250hp mark.

Once the IS receives the turbo engine, the trend will obviously affect the GS and RX models...

Refreshed 2015 Dodge Charger information

The biggest change to the refreshed Charger is its exterior. From the official image you may find that its front and rear looks like the Dodge Dart. LED lighting becomes a normal norm for the auto industry nowadays, so does Dodge.

Major changes:

– ZF sourced 8-speed automatic transmission is standard on all trims (while the current 2014 model has the old 5-speed transmission as standard equipment); Sport mode can shift within 250ms (a reduction from 400ms)

Yesterday we reported the news that Toyota will release a mid-size sedan which is placed between the Chinese market Corolla and Camry, around the time of the Beijing auto show.

Today we got some spy shots of this mystery sedan. Here they are.

The front face looks like a combination of Corolla and Camry:

What does the 2015 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe signal

It has been known to all for a while that BMW is going to sell the Alpina version of the 6 series Gran Coupe.

The key point is not only the Alpina car to be sold here in the US side. It sends us an important signal from BMW: the Bavarian auto maker finally feels necessary that it has a high performance version  AWD sedan in the market. Currenlty the BMW in-house performance branch “M”, is only providing rear-wheel-drive performance sedans and coupes.

Previously BMW never sold an Alpina version in US market, if there is already a M version being sold at the same time. For example we have BMW M3 here, so you will never see the Alpina B3 in the showroom...

2015 BMW X4 in NY auto show

Updated 04/16: one thing to those who are planning to purchase a X4, there is no RWD version available. The X4 will be solely AWD drivetrain.

Together with the 2015 M4, the X4 will bow at the same time.

The 2015 X4 will be equipped with the similar powerplant as its sibling X3, named X4 28i and X4 35i. The manufacturer claim the X4 35i can do 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds, with the less powerful 28i model 0.8 second slower.
