We have received some tips from our friend who is working in GM, that Cadillac is planning a higher performance version of the already-high-performance ATS-V, named the “ATS-V+”.

The first question to be asked must be: what engine? There are multiple choices within GM’s parts bin. According to our Chrysler insider, the company’s engineering team is working revising the 6.2L supercharged V8 engine, to make it suitable to sit inside the Grand Cherokee’s engine compartment. The project progress suggests an official debut in mid or late-2016 as the 2017 model.

Honda has announced the Jade RS, equipped with the Japanese auto maker’s all-new 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This is the second model in Honda to receive this new engine (the first one is the Stepwgn which we have reported previously).

The Honda Jade is not sold in the US market, but you can consider it to be the wagon version of the Honda Civic (it does share the same platform as the Civic).

The 1.5L turbo engine in the Jade RS is rated at 147hp and 149 lb-ft of torque, and it is equipped with the VTEC and fuel direct injection technologies.
