Why is the LF-LC different from the LFA?

Lexus has debuted the LF-LC back in the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.

Recently Alain Uyttenhoven, Lexus Europe Vice President, confirmed to the public that the upper management had green-lighted the production version of the LF-LC concept. Uyttenhoven also told the press that, the LF-LC will NOT be positioned the same as the LFA, and it is more “normal” than the LFA.
