The 24 Hours of Le Mans is an automobile endurance racing event held in France each year, that participated racing cars need to run in a closed circuit of 13.629 km in length (Circuit de la Sarthe), for 24 hours continuously with brief stops for refueling/maintenance or change driver.

There are multiple categories in the race (LMP1, LMP2, GT Endurance Pro, GT Endurance AM). In each race, every category has its corresponding own winner, and there is also an overall winner too...

McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Pagani, Koenigsegg, Aston Martin, Maserati are some brands that many people cannot afford. However this cannot stop us from examining them from the technical aspect: since they represent the most state-of-the-art technologies in the current automotive industry.

It is hard to judge and rank these exotic car makers, due to the fact that building a car involves lots of different technical areas. In this article, I will try to provide you a high-level holistic view, showing you what is the “house special” for each of them.

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage is one of the cars in US markets that are still using a V12 engine. Yesterday, Aston Martin announced a special edition based on the V12 Vantage: The Vantage GT3.

By its name the Vantage GT3 is track-ready. Aston Martin replaced the exterior with carbon fiber panels in some car body sections (for example: front fenders, hood and doors etc.); interior also received similar treatments. All these efforts result in a 200+ lbs weight reduction compared to the standard V12 Vantage.

 What does Aston Martin have up their sleeves?

People don’t like refusing money, plain and simple. This is especially true for a company that shows negative earning numbers on its financial report, and Aston Martin is a typical example.

For the 2013 year, Aston Martin has reported a pretax loss of GBP 25.4-million and only managed to sell 4,200 cars. However this does not stop the British auto maker from designing new vehicles. Previously, we have reported Aston Martin has made a special sedan only for selected customers in the Middle East market: the Lagonda sedan.

However, it looks like Aston Martin’s upper management has changed their ideas...

We have been following the limited-edition Aston Martin Lagonda sedan for a while. Last time I have shown you lots photos of its exterior in this article.

Today Aston Martin unwrapped another layer of this bespoke sedan, showing how its interior looks. While you may find its styling or how some details look is a little bit “strange” in your opinion, please note that the Lagonda is specifically designed to catering the Middle East market, and its designer is trying their best to meet its customers’ aesthetic opinion and taste.
