2016 Cadillac ATS-V Specification Highlights

– Equipped with a twin-turbo 3.6L V6 engine based on the one in the CTS VSport
– Output: 450hp, 445 lb-ft of torque
– New features in the engine: titanium connecting rods, titanium turbines in the turbos, 2 water-to-air intercoolers
– Additional radiator to cool the gearbox
– Electronic locking differential
– 6-speed manual transmission, or 8-speed automatic transmission
– Curb weight: around 3,600 lbs

Impression: The 2015 Cadillac Escalade

A Night with Cadillac

Yesterday night I attended Cadillac’s “Road to Table” event in Laguna Beach, CA.

The idea of this program is connecting the car driving experience with fine dining pleasures, which similar to Lincoln’s “Day Night” program.

The difference between the two is: for Cadillac they just let you drive the CTS for a couple miles to the restaurant, then treat you with a dinner; for Lincoln, they lend you a MKC or MKZ for 2 days, and give you a $100 debit card; you can go to anywhere within the 48-hr period, no mileage restriction, and you can use the $100 anywhere, not necessarily in a restaurant, even though Lincoln suggests you to.

Cadillac Has New Nomenclature, Flagship Sedan to be Named CT6

Today Cadillac announced its new plan for naming its product line. The rule is quite simple: all of its current and future vehicles will be name in the format of  “CT[x]” (here x = a number starts at integer “1”, higher value means higher market position of the car).

For example, previously rumor said the upcoming Cadillac full-size sedan’s name will be “LTS”, now its official name is “CT6”. Below is a spy shot of the Cadillac CT6 full-size luxury sedan.
