For those who are in the market of buying the Audi A6, if the bigger discount on the 2015 model seems tempting to you, you may want to think twice now, since the 2016 model has some fundamental enhancements which you should seriously consider.

You may have already known major changes in the 2016 A6 are in:

– Upgraded engine output (2.0T: 220hp => 252hp, 3.0T: 310hp => 333hp)
– Minor tweaks to the exterior styling
– Better graphic chips for the LCD display

However, there is at least one more critical improvement made to the 2016 model: the front-end and passenger cabin structure are strengthened, and are more stiff to achieve the “Good” rating in the latest IIHS small ove...

We have been extensively covered the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V since last May, 2014. For our previous reports about the ATS-V, please see here. Originally Cadillac said the ATS-V’s 3.6L twin-turbo V6 engine is capable of 455hp and 445 lb-ft of torque, 0-60mph only needs 3.9 seconds, with top speed 189mph.

Today Cadillac announced that the final output spec of the ATS-V will be higher than the original estimate, now SAE-certified at 464hp and 444 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 time is reduced to 3.8 seconds.

Please note: if you read Cadillac’s previous press release, it mentions for the ATS-V there is “structural stiffness increased by 25 percent”. Please do not be confused about this...

2016 Cadillac CT6 Summary and Highlights

Cadillac is going to debut its brand-new CT6 full-size luxury sedan flagship in the upcoming 2015 NY auto show. Today, information regarding the CT6 is released before the official debut event. The most important news is the all-new 3.0L twin-turbo, and another new 3.6L naturally aspirated engine. In this article, we will first quickly go over the highlights, and then provide a short analysis on this new 3.0L turbo V6 engine.

We have reported the upcoming Cadillac CT6, a full-size flagship luxury sedan from GM last month (see report here and here). Today Cadillac officially announced the debut day will be Mar. 31, during the 2015 New York auto show. Together it also released one image of how the CT6’s body is constructed.

Information highlights:

– 64% of the CT6 body structure is made with aluminum alloy;
– All exterior body panels are made with aluminum too;
– Almost all structural components in front of the firewall are aluminum (this is similar to the BMW E60 5-series)
– Rear parcel is full aluminum

Cadillac has just released the commercial which teases the upcoming CT6 yesterday. As you can expect, new information flows in quickly. Today we got some powertrain information regarding the CT6. This information came from Cadillac CEO Johan de Nysschen’s Q&A media section yesterday.

At new model launch, a total of 3 engines will be offered:

– Turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder
– Twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6
– Twin-turbocharged V8 (this is a completely-new design, NOT the supercharged V8 in the CTS-V)
