2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Comes with Upgraded Engine

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is forgotten by many consumers in the compact CUV market. For example in 2014, Mitsubishi has sold 2,000 – 3,000 Outlander Sport in the US market, making the annual sales figure to be 31,054. Compared to the Honda CR-V, sold 335,019 units in 2014, the CR-V is more than 10 times popular than the Outlander Sport.

Two days ago, Ford announced the all-new 2016 Focus RS, which has more than 315hp from the 2.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, mated to an AWD system.

This effectively puts the Focus RS into the competition with other hot hatches in the market, such as the Subaru WRX STI and also the Volkswagen Golf R. The Cayman GT4 borrows the 3.8L flat-6 engine from the 911 Carrera S, detuned to 385hp (the 911 S has 400hp). From the outside, especially the front fascia, wheels, and also the fixed rear wing, all reminds me of the 911 GT3.

For those who do not want to shift by himself and prefer the PDK automatic transmission, then the Cayman GT4 is not a suitable choice, because only a 6-speed manual transmission is offered on this car.

Porsche claims the Cayman GT4 can run the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:40, at least 10 seconds slower than the current 911 GT3...
