McLaren 675LT Officiallly Unveiled with 675PS

McLaren announced the brand-new 2016 675LT today. Basically speaking the 675LT is based on the current McLaren 650S.

Major changes made to the 675LT are:

– 33% of parts are different
– 220 lbs weight savings
– Same 3.8L turbocharged V8 engine, but tuned to 675PS (650S has 650PS, by its name)

For your reference, the 675LT is using the similar carbon fiber composite chassis in the 650S, with 220lbs less weight, the 675LT’s dry weight is as light as only 2,711 lbs.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS Information Leaked

The Porsche 911 GT3 is an exceptional sports car that sends out 475hp from a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-6 engine. But it seems Porsche is not going to stop at this, and today we heard a news that a hotter version, called “911 GT3 RS” is coming.

From the below document scans you can see the very detailed spec for this proposed GT3 RS variant. The most outstanding upgrade is the engine: Porsche increased the 3.8L displacement to 4.0L, so the output power reaches the 500hp mark; torque has been enhanced to 339 lb-ft too. This is 25hp and 14 lb-ft more than the 3.8L engine in the 911 GT3.
