Latest Update on the All-New 2017 Lexus LS Flagship Sedan

Last December we have reported some information regarding the next-gen Lexus LS sedan. Today we are going to show you more exciting updates.

First is a test mule of the 5th-gen (XF50) LS sedan, probably coming as the 2017 model year, is caught by Japanese magazine “MAG-X”. Below is one of the spy shot (for the complete photo set please see the gallery at the end of this article).

Please note that this is just a test mule, which means it is using the current LS exterior shell, but with new powerplant and chassis underside. This explains why you may find in the spyshot the car looks just like a current LS with camouflage.

The next news is: Lexus has recently trademarked the “LS500h” nameplate in Europe. This suggests a V6-powered hybrid powertrain for the next-gen LS. Of course, the traditional V8 engine will also be kept.

We will keep you updated about the progress of the 2017 Lexus LS. Below is the scan of the spyshots in the MAG-X magazine.
