For those who are in the market of buying the Audi A6, if the bigger discount on the 2015 model seems tempting to you, you may want to think twice now, since the 2016 model has some fundamental enhancements which you should seriously consider.

You may have already known major changes in the 2016 A6 are in:

Infiniti Offers Free Maintenance Program for Q50L in China

The most famous free maintenance program in the auto industry is propably BMW’s 4-year/50k-mile program. However, BMW has “secretly” downgraded the program since last July (see our report here). Basically speaking, if you are the 2nd owner, even your BMW is still within 4yr/50k miles, you are not eligible for the free maintenance any more. However, currently Infiniti starts to offer a similar program in China, for the Q50L sedan.

Impression: The 2015 Infiniti Q70L

I am pretty sure you will not see the 2015 Infiniti Q70L on the road very easily. People who are looking for a full-size luxury sedan will typically go for the Mercedes-Benz S-class, BMW 7 Series, Audi A8 and also the Lexus LS. The Infiniti Q70L is actually based on a mid-size sedan with stretched wheelbase to make it qualify for the “full size” category.

I have checked out the 2015 Q70L during last month’s Orange County auto show.

From the outside, you can tell it is a long-wheelbase Q70 by: 1. the “Q70L” badge on the rear trunk lid; 2. the visually long length of the car body’s side profile.

Yes, Infiniti Will Also Make The Long Wheelbase QX50L

Maybe you are thinking making long wheelbase version of a sedan is a normal thing for car manufacturers these days, how about making a LWB version of a crossover?

Well, you may cite the 2015 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL as an example. But please be reminded that those are body-on-frame trucks, and it is much easier to extend the frame’s wheelbase than an unibody-structured automobile.

For Infiniti, we have known it is making the Q50L and Q70L (the later one will come to US market for the 2015 model year). But today Infiniti dropped us another bomb, which is saying it is also working on a LWB QX50, a.k.a QX50L...
