In the evening of April 18, Beijing time, Ford announced the completely redesigned 2016 Taurus in an event before the opening of the 2015 Shanghai auto show.

The new Taurus will inherit the Ford sedan’s family face (similar to the Focus, Fusion etc.), below are what we have known for the new Taurus:

– Total length: 4996mm (196.7in)
– Wheelbase: 2949mm (116.1in)
– 2.7L twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine
– Powershift double-clutch transmission
– Shares the same suspension design with the Ford Fusion

The Lincoln Continental is making its way back to the market! On April 1st, Lincoln is going to officially announced the Continental Concept car in the 2015 New York auto show.

Lincoln has released some preliminary specs and photos about the Continental concept. Major highlights are:

– An all-new, Lincoln-exclusive 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine
– SPD SmartGlass tinting sunroof (user can electronically control how much percent of heat wave from sunlight can pass through the window)
– LED matrix head lamps with laser-assist high beams
– Patented 30-way adjustable seats
– Premium Revel audio system

People have been talking about the 2016 Ford Focus RS a lot in the past 3 months (see our coverage here, here and here). However, the Focus RS is not all what Ford has planned for the RS variants in its whole product line.

Our Ford insider told us that, Ford Performance (now with Special Vehicles Team – SVT and Team RS integrated into one department) has planned a total of 12 new high performance models within the next 6 years, including the following:

– the 2016 Focus RS (350PS)
– the Fiesta RS (1.5L EcoBoost turbocharged I4, with more than 200PS), maybe FWD only
– the Mondeo (Fusion) RS (3.5L EcoBoost turbocharged V6, with more than 400PS)

Obviously some of the future ...

Details about the AWD system on the Ford Focus RS has been debated for 2 months, since the day when Ford announced the new model in Detroit auto show.
