BorgWarner Sets up Second Factory in China, Electric Turbocharger Comes in 2 Years

On September 4th, BorgWarner opened its second factory in Taicang, Jiangsu Province in China. According to BorgWarner, this factory will supply turbocharger to customers such as Chang’an Ford, Volvo, Shanghai GM, BYD.

The BorgWarner new factory has 5 production units, and its production volume is estimated to reach 2 million units per year, by 2018. The first BorgWarner’s China factory, located in Ningbo, currently has 1.6 million units per year of production ability. In the future, both factories’ output will reach 4 million units per year.
