On September 4th, BorgWarner opened its second factory in Taicang, Jiangsu Province in China. According to BorgWarner, this factory will supply turbocharger to customers such as Chang’an Ford, Volvo, Shanghai GM, BYD.

The BorgWarner new factory has 5 production units, and its production volume is estimated to reach 2 million units per year, by 2018. The first BorgWarner’s China factory, located in Ningbo, currently has 1.6 million units per year of production ability. In the future, both factories’ output will reach 4 million units per year.

The 2015 K900 and Genesis is a big step forward for the Hyundai Motor Company. Not only because of its superb crash testing performance, but also some key components are all developed by Hyundai itself.

For example the AWD system (called “HTRAC”) are developed in-house, so does the 8-speed transmission. Especially for the 8AT, its design is totally different from the ZF, GM and Aisin units.
