2016 Cadillac CT6 Officially Announced in New York (with Live Photos)

Here it comes: the 2016 Cadillac CT6. Cadillac finally pulls the cover off in the NY auto show.

– Three engine options: 2.0L twin-turbo I4 (~265hp), 3.6L naturally aspirated V6 (~335hp), 3.0L twin-turbo V6 (~400hp, 400 lb-ft)
– 8-speed automatic transmission
– AWD standard on all V6 models
– Wheelbase: 122.4in, total length: 204in
– Curb weight: around 3,700lb
– Active rear steering, magnetic ride control
– For sale starting at the end of 2015

2016 Cadillac CT6 Flagship Sedan First Image Released

Ahead of the 2015 New York auto show which is opened tomorrow, the first image showing the full body of the Cadillac CT6 was leaked out, as shown below.

2016 Cadillac CT6 Flagship Sedan To Debut on Mar. 31, Body Strucutre Image Released

We have reported the upcoming Cadillac CT6, a full-size flagship luxury sedan from GM last month (see report here and here). Today Cadillac officially announced the debut day will be Mar. 31, during the 2015 New York auto show. Together it also released one image of how the CT6’s body is constructed.

Information highlights:

– 64% of the CT6 body structure is made with aluminum alloy;
– All exterior body panels are made with aluminum too;
– Almost all structural components in front of the firewall are aluminum (this is similar to the BMW E60 5-series)
– Rear parcel is full aluminum
