Report: Redesigned 2016 Toyota Prius Will Offer Two Battery Options

For internal combustion engine cars, different level of trims usually comes with different type of engine. This may not be the same case for electric cars, since there is no “number of cylinders” term for electric motor.

Besides offering electric motors with different output rating, automobile manufacturers now has more options in marketing their products. For Toyota, it is reported they are planning to roll out two types of batteries in the new Prius, which will be redesigned next year as a 2016 model.

Here we get the latest Acura NSX concept photos from the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

From the photos taken we can even see the NSX will use carbon ceramic brakes (CCB). Please do not be surprised that the NSX concept is wearing the Honda badge, that is because Honda does not sell Acura brand in Europe, the Acura corresponding models will be branded as Honda in those markets.

Today we got some leaked photos of the long-wheel-base Cadillac ATS, as shown below.

We can see there is an “ATS L” badge in the trunk lid and “Shanghai GM” logo on the right hand side. The ATS-L has a 3.35-in longer wheel base than the standard version (with total wheel base = 112.6 in).

Two engines will be offered, and they are all based on the same GM 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine. The lowered output version has 223 hp, and the high output version is the same as the one we saw for the US market, which has 272 hp.
