Of course Porsche won’t miss this opportunity to earn some extra money, therefore it is releasing a special edition of its 911 Carrera model, called the “911 GTS Club Coupe”.

Simply speaking, there is no major mechanical change in this special edition compared to the standard 911 GTS coupe, all changes are in exterior/interior styling and the wheels. The 911 GTS Club Coupe uses the same 3.8L flat-6 engine found in the 911 GTS, produces 430hp...

Jaguar Land Rover High Performance Models SVR Designation

Jaguar Land Rover To Get SVR Badge

Most auto makers only have one naming convention for its high performance models, for example BMW M, Mercedes-Benz AMG, Lexus F etc.

But this is not the case for Jaguar Land Rover currently. For example the Range Rover Sport has SVR variants:

the XF has the R-S mode (XFR-S):

and the most powerful F-Type is called “F-Type R”

This sounds like a chaos. But JLR is going to address this by using the SVR badge across the whole brand uniquely. This is confirmed by John Edwards, head of the JLR Special Vehicle Operations (SVO). Therefore in the future there will be no XFR-S or F-Type R, instead of the XF SVR and the F-Type SVR.

Feel free to...

2015 Lexus RC & NX: IIHS Crash Test

If you’ve paid attention to the IIHS crash test data (which you can find in the “Technical Measurements” tab, under each model’s test category, on the IIHS official webpage), then you may have an impression that, compared to its German luxury car competitors, Lexus usually has inferior crash test results.

For example for the moderate overlap front test, when measuring the footwell intrusion, the current GS sedan has structure deformation around 6-9 cm; but for the Mercedes-Benz E class, BMW 5-series, Audi A6, they all have those numbers in the 1-2 cm league, which means in the crash test, the Lexus GS has more severe deformation in its...

2016 Lexus RX Sadly Not Announced In Detroit

The current Lexus RX (3rd-generation) was debuted back in November, 2008, now more than 6 years passed and it is due for a renewal. It has been rumored that Lexus would debut the redesigned 4th-gen RX at the 2015 Detroit auto show which is ongoing this week, but sadly the debut did not happen.

However this is understandable – because the Detroit auto show is more focused on performance models, not for soccer mom vehicles or daily commute cars. But looks like the 2015 New York auto show, which is going to take place this April, is a good time for the new RX to bow to the public.

Our source informed us today that Lexus managemen...
