Road Race Mustang: Fully Ready For The Track
If you haven’t heard of the Road Race Mustang, you are not alone. In the past two months, the sports car market has been flooded with news related to the high performance version of the Ford Mustang. Specifically speaking, the Mustang GT350 and GT350R.
However, this is not the full story. Yesterday, we found out that Ford Performance quietly put out a new Mustang variant on its catalog website, called the Road Race Mustang.
As described on its webpage, the Road Race Mustang is a factory-build race car based on the Mustang, which is fully ready for track and racing usage. We guess the racing modification will be based on the GT350 or GT350R.
Although Ford has removed the MSRP number on the website now, but we wrote the pricing down before Ford removed it: $89,995 per unit, you can also download the information page (PDF file) from the below link. This $90k Mustang race car will start production in first quarter next year. No specification is available at this time.
While we are not sure how many people is willing to poke out nearly $90k for a Mustang, but it is sure that this model has seriously stirred up our curiosity.
