Toyota Introduced RAV4 Edition S in European Market

For some other brand’s vehicles, an “Edition S” sometimes means a sportier model, for example the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S (with a more powerful engine than the standard AMG GT). However this is not the case for the “just-announced” Toyota RAV4 Edition S, in the European Market.
According to Toyota, the RAV4 Edition S means it’s more value oriented: it includes more options with a discounted price. For example the below features are standard:
– All-wheel-drive
– Roof rail
– 2-zone automatic AC
– Smart key system (keyless entry, engine start/stop)
– Toyota Touch2 infotainment system with 6.1-in LCD screen
The Edition S version can be optioned with the 2.0L turbo-diesel engine (122hp, 147ps) and also the 2.0L petrol engine producing 149hp.
The RAV4 Edition S starts with a MSRP of EUR 30,890. According to Toyota, if a customer wanted to option those features separately to be the same level, previously they would need to pay EUR 1,750 more.

Den robusten Charakter betonen außerdem 18 Zoll große Leichtmetallfelgen.Basierend auf der Ausstattungslinie „Edition“, verfügt das kompakte SUV darüber hinaus über viele Annehmlichkeiten: Eine Zwei-Zonen-Klimaautomatik ist ebenso an Bord wie das Toyota Smart Key System zum schlüssellosen Öffnen und Schließen des Fahrzeugs sowie die elektrisch öffnende Heckklappe „Easy Load“ und das Multimediasystem Toyota Touch2 mit farbigem 6,1-Zoll-Touchscreen, USB-Schnittstelle und Bluetooth-Freisprecheinrichtung.
