2015 Lincoln MKC Test Drive Review

Whenever I see a new compact CUV model, I ask myself this question: what is this new model’s purpose? What problem does it solve?

For the Lincoln MKC, from my point of view the most important factor for people who buy it instead of a similar size sedan is simply the look of the SUV shape.

Logically speaking the 2-row-seat MKC neither provides fundamentally larger interior space, nor does it has serious offroad capability which can distinguish itself from other sedans...

The 2015 Lincoln MKC is a brand-new model in the Lincoln family, which went on sale this May. Now 6 months have passed, but as of today it is still very hard to spot a Lincoln MKC on the street...

According to Ford, it replaced its former Lincoln brand designer Max Wolff, with David Woodhouse. This new HR change happened in last December.

Woodhouse joined Ford back in 1999. Before that he worked for GM. During his previous work in Ford, Woodhouse oversaw the exterior design of the previous-Ford-own luxury brands such as Jaguar, Aston Martin, Land Rover and Volvo.

While we do not know the actual reason why Ford let Wolff step down his post, we know Wolff did make good progress for the Lincoln brand. The model he was in charge of the exterior design, the Lincoln MKZ’s sales gain 36% in the last quarter.
