Even though the pricing for the 2015 Corvette Z06 is not available at this moment, a lot of interested buyers have put their names on their local Chevy dealership’s waiting list. As far as I know in major metro areas, some dealership’s list has hundreds of people’s name on it. People just simply want to buy the 650-hp  Z06 regardless what will the MSRP be (with so many people on the waiting list, it is impossible to buy the Z06 under MSRP at this moment), or what options they can opt for.

Today there was a rumor that surfaced online that the next generation Corvette may have a mid-engine layout, or will have a mid-engined variant.

First let’s make it clear that Chevrolet does produce a mid-engined Corvette. However, here “a mid-engined Corvette” means Chevy actually only made one unit of such a Corvette, which is the Corvette Daytona Prototype, which Chevrolet created specifically for the 2012 Daytona race. 1. The Magnetic Selective Ride Control (Chevy’s adaptive suspension system) is standard;
2. 6-speed manual transmission with 3.70 rear axle ratio is an option with extra charge;
3. OnStar system with 4G LTE WIFI internet connection;
4. New exterior colors

2015 Chevrolet SS Order Guide

2015 will be the last model year for the current generation of Camaro. For the next generation, which starts at 2016, the Camaro will be build on the GM Alpha platform which the current Cadillac CTS is also using.

By using the new platform, it is expected that the 2016 Camaro will lose several hundred pounds of weight when compared to the current generation. For your reference, the 2015 Camaro with V6 engine has a curb weight of 3700lb+, which makes it almost as heavy as some mid-size RWD luxury sedans.

But the biggest news is that the 2016 Camaro will offer a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine...
