Exclusive: Cadillac ATS-L Production Car Photo Leaked

Today we got some leaked photos of the long-wheel-base Cadillac ATS, as shown below.

We can see there is an “ATS L” badge in the trunk lid and “Shanghai GM” logo on the right hand side. The ATS-L has a 3.35-in longer wheel base than the standard version (with total wheel base = 112.6 in).

Two engines will be offered, and they are all based on the same GM 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine. The lowered output version has 223 hp, and the high output version is the same as the one we saw for the US market, which has 272 hp.

Volvo has released the engine spec for the redesigned 2015 XC90, here are engines offered:

D4 single turbo diesel engine: 190 hp, 295 lb-ft torque
D5 turbo+supercharged diesel engine: 225 hp, 347 lb-ft torque
T5 single turbo gas engine: 254 hp, 258 lb-ft torque
T6 turbo+supercharged gas engine: 320hp, 295 lb-ft torque
T8 turbo+supercharged gas engine for front axle, electric motor for rear axle, plug-in hybrid combined power: 400hp, 472 lb-ft torque

BMW Changed The Free Maintenance Program Policy for 2015 Models

Starting from this month (July 2014), BMW has changed its free maintenance program policy for all 2015 models sold in the US after July 1st.

The major change is: the program will only cover the BMW new car’s initial purchaser, owner, or lessee. This means although you sold your new BMW when the program is still valid for you, the 2nd owner will not be eligible for the free maintenance program.

There is one exception: if you transfer the car title to another person in your household (a person live in the same place as your vehicle registering address), called “household transfer” in BMW’s term, then the program can still be applied on the new owner.

Toyota – BMW Cooperation Will Bring Us The Next Supra and Z4

Toyota and BMW have signed a contract recently regarding a joint operation to design and manufacture some car models.

Today the Japanese media – Nikkei, reported that as the first step, the two companies are currently working on a sports car platform. This platform will be used in the next generation of Z4 for BMW, and the revived Supra for Toyota.
