Rolls-Royce SUV Will Be Significantly Different than the BMW X7

Following last month’s announcement that Rolls-Royce is going to build a SUV model, the British auto maker’s CEO Mueller-Oetvoes spilled out more details on this SUV in a recent interview.

Major news is that the Rolls-Royce SUV will use an all-new design of aluminum spaceframe in the body construction, and this design is not to be shared with the rumored BMW X7. The Rolls-Royce SUV will use aluminum extensively for the body and exterior panels, which should save a lot of weight than using steels.

In addition to this, Mueller-Oetvoes also mentioned the aluminum spaceframe design will be used in all future Rolls-Royce vehicles.

All-New 2016 Hyundai Elantra Image Leaked

The Hyundai Elantra will be undergone a redesign for the 2016 model year. The official debut is set to be in next month in Korea. A image depicting the 2016 Elantra is leaked today.

From the image we can see the new Elantra will has vertical daytime running lights and projector-type headlights. It has been rumored the 2.0L 173hp 4-cylinder engine on the current Elantra will be carried-over for the US market. However, Hyundai may also put the 1.6L turbo engine which was introduced in the facelifted i30 (not sold in US) in the new Elantra too.

Next Generation VW Tiguan Will Has 3-Row Seat

The current Tiguan is a compact SUV which only accommodates as many passengers as a normal sedan. However the next-gen Tiguan will be dramatically different, by offering the 3rd-row capacity.

Ford Is Planning The Fiesta RS and Mondeo RS

People have been talking about the 2016 Ford Focus RS a lot in the past 3 months (see our coverage here, here and here). However, the Focus RS is not all what Ford has planned for the RS variants in its whole product line.

Our Ford insider told us that, Ford Performance (now with Special Vehicles Team – SVT and Team RS integrated into one department) has planned a total of 12 new high performance models within the next 6 years, including the following:

the 2016 Focus RS (350PS)
the Fiesta RS (1.5L EcoBoost turbocharged I4, with more than 200PS), maybe FWD only
the Mondeo (Fusion) RS (3.5L EcoBoost turbocharged V6, with more than 400PS)

Live from Geneva: the 2016 Honda NSX (with 19 HD Photos)

Currently the Acura brand only exists in North America, China and Russia. Therefore outside of those markets, the Acura NSX will be re-branded as the Honda NSX. However, the manufacturing and assembling of all Acura/Honda NSX will be in Acura’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio.
