What is the ultimate sedan in your mind? The Rolls-Royce Phantom? the Bentley Mulsanne? Or the more exclusive (and you cannot buy one unless you are living in the Middle East) Aston Martin Lagonda?
Or, the one we are going to talk about in this article – the Bugatti Galibier?
The most unique fact of the Galibier that distinguishes it from other competitors is: it is not confirmed to go in production at this moment, which means it is more exclusive than the Aston Martin Lagonda – now you cannot buy one no matter how rich you are, and where you are living in.
Back in 2009, Bugatti showed the 16C Galibier concept car to the public. The concept is packed with the same 8.0L W16 engine which can also be found in the Veyron. But the decision of putting the concept into production has been on-hold since then.
Now recently during an interview with Automotive News, Bugatti’s new CEO, Wolfgang Schreiber, hinted that he is not giving up the Galibier idea. Although this does not mean any confirmation of the sedan’s production, but obviously it is much better than simply dropping the whole project.
