Today we got a set of latest spy shots of the upcoming W205 C63 AMG sedan.

From the photos we can see the following details:

– AMG quad exhausts (even though you see only one pipe on each side, but the size of the opening in the rear bumper indicates quad-exhaust arrangement on production version);
– P255/40R18 rear wheel tire size;
– Leather wrapped/stitched dash board;
– Adjustable suspension control near in the center console;
– 320 kmh (200 mph) speedometer;

Also the powertrain specification of the new C63 AMG will be:

– 4.0L twin-turbo V8;
– standard version: 476 hp;
– high output version: 510 hp;
– 7-speed MCT transmission

Mercedes-Benz Alabama Plant Starts US Market C-Class Production

Today marks the beginning of the Mercedes-Benz W205 C class production in the company’s Tuscaloosa, Alabama plant.

The C class produced in the plant is mainly for north America markets. Previously the W205 C class sold in US are made in either Germany of South Africa.

At this moment, the Tuscaloosa plant not only builds the C class, but also assembles the M-class, R-class (not sold in US) and the GL-class. The W205 C-class offered in US market will initially comes with two models: C300 and C400, powered by a 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines respectively, both are turbocharged.

Crash Test Comparison: Mercedes-Benz C Class 2015 Model vs. 2008 Model

The redesigned W205 Mercedes-Benz C Class has not be on sale in US at this moment (the expected date will be around end of August), so there is no US crash protection ratings at this moment.

However European test program Euro NCAP has fully tested the new C Class recently. Mercedes-Benz Is Considering the C-Class 4-Door Coupe

Apparently BMW’s market segmentation strategy (develop as many as possible model variants) in the recent years has great influences on the other two major German automakers. We got news from our source that, Mercedes-Benz is developing a 4-door coupe style new product which will be sitting between the CLA and CLS class, and it will probably base on the W205 C class platform.

We call this is the C Class Gran Coupe at this moment, but obviously when the new model is in production, Mercedes will give it a name similar to CLA and CLS. Some rumors said “CLF” is very possible. Below image is an artist rendering of the “CLF”.

Mercedes-Benz C Class Wagon Officially Revealed

Today Mercedes-Benz announced its W205 C class wagon model. Besides the official images, here are specification we know at this moment:

Total length: 185.1 in (3.8-in longer than the W204 wagon)

Wheelbase: 111.8 in (rear legroom increased 1.8 in)

Width: 71.3 in

Engine options will be the same as the C class sedan.

At this moment we are not sure whether this new model will be sold in US side.
