2016 Lexus GS-F Details Announced, Press Release & More

2016 Lexus GS-F

Today Lexus released certain details about the 2016 GS-F ahead of the 2015 Detroit auto show which will be opened to the public next week.

From what Lexus has told us at this moment, it looks like that the GS-F will directly borrow the RC-F’s V8 engine and the 8-speed transmission, with identical output. Even options like the Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD) is also carried-over from the RC-F.

Lexus GS-F Will Come with 500HP

Following the RC-F engine spec reveal and multiple test drive report publications yesterday, Lexus also let out some more details about the upcoming GS-F, and another new F model. Below are some highlights on the GS-F:

– Will be announced in 2016
– Will have the same 5.0L V8 found in the RC-F, but is tuned to around 500hp and 400 lb-ft of torque
– Share part of the structure of the RC-F platform
– A four-door version of the RC F coupe will be offered in 2016, which will play the same role as the current IS-F
