Eight months earlier, we have reported an insider news that Rolls-Royce is working on a SUV model. Below image is a rendering of this upcoming high-end SUV.

Today Rolls-Royce finally makes this public: chairman Peter Schwarzenbauer and CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes announced in an open letter that, the company has been working on an all-new SUV model. They did not explicitly mention the word of “SUV”, but judging from descriptions in the letter, such as “A car that offers the luxury of a Rolls-Royce in a vehicle that can cross any terrain”, we know this is a SUV obviously.

Hyundai is going to announce its redesigned 3rd-generation Tucson SUV during next month’s Geneva Motor Show. However, Hyundai decided to release images and also a lot of information before the show opens.

The Tucson, a compact SUV named after the city of Tucson in Arizona, is Hyundai’s answer to competitors such as the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V etc.

For the new Tucson, Hyundai stretches the wheelbase by 30mm (1.2 inches) to a length of 105.1 in. At the same time the total length and width are also increased by 65mm and 30mm respectively. However, Hyundai lowered the new Tucson by 10mm...

As the market has gradually recovered from the 2008 financial crisis, with the low oil prices these days, the SUV sector is booming. And the trend is also true for the performance SUV too. Many auto makers have produce their performance oriented SUV with high-output engine. For example the BMW X5M/X6M, Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG/GL63 AMG, Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover Sport SVR, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. We do not know whether Lexus was intended to do this, but anyway the first photo of the LF-SA concept car was leaked on the internet today (Lexus Europe posted this photo on its Twitter account earlier today, then quickly removed it after a short time).

The LF-SA concept is scheduled to be announced in next month’s Geneva motor show, and depicts a future Lexus production model which is reportedly positioned below the current CT200h hybrid hatchback. From the above teaser photo we have the below two conclusions:

The current Audi R8 will be completely redesigned as a second-generation 2016 model, and Audi is going to reveal some details of the new R8 step by step.

For example today Audi showed us how the headlight on the R8 will look like, as shown in the above teaser image. The new R8 will has LED headlights as standard, but customers can pick the optional laser high-beam lights.
