2016 Lexus GS-F Details Announced, Press Release & More

Today Lexus released certain details about the 2016 GS-F ahead of the 2015 Detroit auto show which will be opened to the public next week.

From what Lexus has told us at this moment, it looks like that the GS-F will directly borrow the RC-F’s V8 engine and the 8-speed transmission, with identical output. Even options like the Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD) is also carried-over from the RC-F.

This year at the 2015 Las Vegas CES, there are several topics about cars: the fuel cell technologies by Toyota, the connected car from BMW and the self-driving concept car from Mercedes-Benz.

In the press conference about 5 hours ago, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, chairman of Daimler AG and head of Mercedes-Benz named this self-driving prototype as “F015”.

The F015 concept maximizes cabin space by pushing the wheels forward and backward respectively. And it also let its passengers “connected” to the outside by installing a total of 6 high-resolution LCD touchscreen in the cabin.

Breaking: Toyota Opens 5,680 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Patents

If you want to create a new market, the best way to accelerate the process is inviting more players to join. Obviously Toyota is going to use the same trick as Tesla has done before.

Today at the 2015 Las Vegas CES, Toyota announced that it is going to open almost all of its patents internationally. According to the press conference, there are a total of approx. 5,680 related patents to be made free by Toyota, which the auto maker has used to build the Toyota Mirai.

Mercedes-Benz Is Planning the G63 AMG 4X4 Truck

Maybe you have heard of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6X6 (image shown below), which by its name basically means a 6-wheel-drive truck.

Now Mercedes is planning to produce a 4-wheel version of the G63 AMG 6X6.

If you think the G63 AMG 6X6 is just simply adding two more wheels to the standard G63 AMG SUV, and the G63 AMG 4X4 is just an upgrade version of the standard G63 AMG, then you are totally wrong. In fact you can consider both of the 6X6 and 4X4 as a totally different car than the G63 AMG.
