Two weeks ago, at the 2015 Detroit auto show, Ford revealed its latest 2017 Raptor which is based on the new generation of the F150 truck.

One distinct difference between the new F150 to the old one is its full-aluminum car body (not including the ladder frame). In addition to the aluminum body construction, another major change to the Raptor variant is in the engine: it will abandon the previous Raptor’s 6.2L naturally aspirated V8, and replace it with the firm’s 3.5L twinturbo EcoBoost V6 engine.

But Ford didn’t tell us that at the Detroit debut: what is the output of the EcoBoost V6 in the new Raptor?

In the past week, during a televised interview, Raj Nair, head of Ford product development told the media that,  the 2017 F-150 Raptor will have 450 horsepower.

For your reference, the last F150 SVT Raptor (2014 model year) 6.2L V8 outputs 411 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque. So it means the new Raptor will be more powerful than the old one, and it is significantly lighter too, which translates to a much better acceleration performance.
