We have already seen the redesigned Mazda3 for quite a while. But the high-performance version of the Mazda3: the Mazdaspeed3, has been a history and gone with the last-gen Mazda3.
Obviously, Mazda will not give up the Mazdaspeed brand, and today we get the news that the Japanese auto maker has been already busy with the new Mazdaspeed3 for quite a few years, and it is expected to be revealed in 2016.
The new Mazdaspeed3 will has a turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, which output is estimated to be around the mark of 300hp. Since the upcoming 2016 Ford Focus will also come with an AWD system, Mazda will match the competition on the Mazdaspeed3 also. This means, it is quite possible that we will get an AWD Mazdaspeed3!
