2015 Ford Mustang Will Gain More than 200 Pounds of Weight

The biggest change to the 2015 Mustang will be its independent rear suspension, and also structural enhancement to increase the car body rigidity and also the crash protection to its occupants.

But this comes with a price – we just heard that compared to the current generation Mustang, the newly redesigned car will be 200 – 300 lbs heavier.

For sports cars we obviously do not want extra weight. We hope this will not impact the performance of the new Mustang.
